What is Priority tickets?

A ticket can be prioritized as Urgent, High, Medium or Low based on its content, its requester or any property depending on the company. Admins can also create a group of high value customers who pay for support, and assign high priority to their tickets. Ticket priority is also the basis of the SLA policy.

How do you raise a support ticket?

If you need help, you can raise a support ticket in the Developer Portal….Raising a support ticket

  1. From the Developer Portal home page, click Support.
  2. Click Raise a support ticket.
  3. Click Post new support ticket.
  4. Enter a name and body into the relevant fields, then click Save.

A great, informative support ticket answers several questions….Here are the five questions you should ask and answer when submitting a ticket.

  1. How urgent is this issue?
  2. Where did the error occur?
  3. What did you expect to happen?
  4. Did you attempt to fix the problem?
  5. What did it look like on your screen?

How are priority tickets determined?

Ticket priorities are assigned based on the severity of the issue as determined by impact and urgency. Impact and urgency are evaluated together to generate a priority schedule. Impact and urgency are both divided further into categories of low, medium, and high.
